SNAPI ONE
Privacy Policy

About this policy
SNAPI ONE is provided by SNAPI Technologies LLC. This policy describes how information is handled when you use its nutrition tracking and accountability features.
Information saved on your device
SNAPI ONE saves the profile details you enter, including age, height, sex used for calorie estimates, activity level, eating style, goals, starting and goal weights, and dates. It also saves food entries and servings, nutrition values, your My foods list, weight records, commitment status, preferences, and archived chapters. These records support your diary, estimates, progress display, and reminders. They are stored in app files on your phone, or browser storage when you use the web version. The app does not require an account or upload these records as a personal profile to a SNAPI ONE account service.
Food searches and barcode lookups
Online food lookups are optional. When you search for a food or request USDA food details, the search text or food identifier is sent to the SNAPI ONE food service hosted on Cloudflare and, when needed, to USDA FoodData Central. Cloudflare request logs include the requested address (which can contain your search text), IP address, approximate location inferred from that address, connection information, response status, and request timing. These logs support technical analysis and troubleshooting. Food responses and their search-based cache keys are configured to expire after one hour; new requests can create new cache entries.
When you look up a barcode, its number is sent directly from your device to Open Food Facts, which also receives your IP address and request information. Your local diary, profile, weight records, and camera images are not included in these food lookup requests. Do not include private personal details in food searches.
SNAPI ONE's Cloudflare Workers request logs currently have a three-day retention period under the free plan. This does not describe all records maintained independently by external providers. Open Food Facts' published privacy policy lists three years for visitor IP addresses and logs used for security, technical analysis, and popularity measurement; it does not separately specify a retention period for third-party API lookups. Its separate mobile-scanner entry concerns its own application and is not a retention promise for SNAPI ONE. USDA and other provider records are governed by their respective policies.
See Cloudflare's privacy policy, USDA's privacy policy, and Open Food Facts' privacy policy. Open Food Facts accepts privacy requests at privacy@openfoodfacts.org. Local diary storage does not make online food lookups anonymous.
Camera permission
Camera access is optional and is used to read food barcodes. SNAPI ONE does not save or upload camera images. You can enter barcode digits manually instead and can change camera permission in your device settings.
Advertising, analytics, and external links
This version of SNAPI ONE does not include advertising or an analytics tracking SDK in its app code and does not sell your local diary or profile records. The food service does retain operational logs for technical analysis as described above. Opening links such as YouTube or a food-source website takes you to a separate service governed by that service's privacy practices.
Retention and your choices
Local records remain until removed or the app's stored data is cleared. You can edit profile details in Settings and edit or remove today's food entries on Today. Delete from My foods removes only the reusable list item, not diary history. Fresh start archives earlier records; it does not erase them. To remove all local records, use your device's app-data deletion controls or delete the app and its data; on the web, clear this site's browser data. Device or browser backups may retain copies or restore data, depending on your settings. Manage those copies through your backup provider. SNAPI ONE cannot remotely erase records stored only on your device. Retention of service-provider network logs is separate from local storage.
Keeping your information private
Protect your device and its backups with appropriate access controls. Someone with access to your unlocked device or browser may be able to see your records. Food lookup connections use HTTPS. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the app's functionality or data handling changes. Review the date on this page for the latest version.
